Carla Dodds Joins Penske Media as Vice President, Head of Industry, Finance.
March 31, 2022; Carla Dodds has joined Penske Media (PMC) as Vice President, Head of Industry, Finance. She reports to PMC’s Chief Advertising & Partnerships Officer, Mark Howard. Carla’s financial industry knowledge will deepen Penske Media’s engagements with advertising clients, while also building partnerships with a new roster of marketers looking to engage PMC’s high-value audiences across our media and live-event brands.
In her career, Carla has led enterprise-wide transformation across strategy, business development, product development, integrated marketing, change management and operations for both US and International markets across diverse segments and multicultural audiences in various industries, including Retail, CPG, Energy, Telecom, Financial Services, Consulting, and Non-Profit.
Her innovative approach to the largest corporate challenges has enabled her to hold key leadership positions in Fortune 1, Fortune 500 and multi-billion-dollar companies, as well as in privately held medium-sized organizations. Most recently, Carla led Marketing Strategy and Planning for Financial & Retail Services at Walmart, where she delivered financial and retail solutions for Walmart customers.
Carla has been a strong voice and advocate for under-served consumers in both global and US multicultural markets and has been recognized for her constant leadership efforts within DE&I. She was awarded the Red Shoe Movement Leader 2020 Award and 2021 Legacy Award for her leadership on Diversity & Inclusion across mentoring, developing future diverse talent pipelines and advising companies on cross-functionally integration of DE&I efforts.
Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and raised in San Antonio, TX, Carla graduated with a degree in International Relations from Texas State University and holds an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. She is bilingual in Spanish and English, and fully fluent in Brazilian Portuguese.
