The Collegiate Sports Video Association has named Arkansas’ Director of Football Video Dustin Shippey the 2021-22 SEC Video Coordinator of the Year.
Shippey was selected by his peers in the SEC to receive the honor and is now a finalist for the prestigious Bob Matey National Video Coordinator of the Year award, which will be announced at the annual CSVA banquet on May 4, 2022 in Jacksonville, Florida. The Bob Matey award is presented to the video coordinator who displays innovation, determination, perseverance, and technical skill as portrayed by the late Bob Matey, legendary video coordinator from Texas A&M.
Shippey is entering his third year at the University of Arkansas as the Director of Football Video. He has been a member or vendor with CSVA since 2011. With the Razorbacks, he oversees a staff of 15 people, which includes two full-time assistants, a graduate assistant and 12 student assistants. Shippey came to Arkansas from XOS Digital where he worked as a Senior Technical Support Specialist. Previous to that he served as the Assistant Video Coordinator at Texas A&M University for six seasons.
Shippey is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication and Media Studies. He is married to Katy Shippey and the couple have one daughter, Hazel.
