You’re pouring your seasoning all wrong – the right way means no shaking and no mess all over the counters
THE secret to a winning, home-cooked meal is in the seasoning.
But a woman named Sandra Williamson said we’re applying our seasoning all wrong.

Rather than shake the bottle of seasoning and leave a mess of tiny crumbs all over the counter, all you have to do is twist the plastic covering from side to side.
The spinning motion smoothly releases the powder and keeps it controlled.
Sandra’s clip instantly went viral, receiving 1.7 million views and thousands of comments.

“Never knew this until now and I’m 49 years young,” one person wrote.
“A lot more comes out this way! This is how I use it when I’m cooking,” added a second.
As for other kitchen things we’ve been doing wrong our whole life, the German premium cutlery brand Zwilling shared a video on its USA social media page that demonstrated the proper way to cut a cake.
The brand claimed a mathematician created the “perfect” method more than 100 years ago.

Instead of cutting the cake into slices, the genius suggested cutting it into strips.
With this process, people are supposed to cut two parallel lines across the center of the cake, so that a rectangular strip can be pulled out.
The strip is cut into smaller pieces and then served.
After the cake is done being cut, each half of it should be pushed together so the only part of it exposed to the air is the outside of it.

“This method prevents the cut surface of the cake from drying out,” text in Zwilling’s video read.
Each time the cake is cut, the process is repeated, and the cake simply become smaller.
