Sunny and micro Monday
Hello Friends,
The pictures tell the story.
Monday began sunny and mild, with a light WNW breeze. Waves were essentially non-existant at Dee Why. Out at sea the 9-sec SE swell was down to just 0.8 metres.
Outlook hasn’t changed much since yesterday. It still looks as though it’ll be flat to near flat through Wednesday and then up a bit, but onshore through Saturday. So, not a week of red-hot surf prospects.
Have a great day and stay safe folks. There were 5,528 new COVID cases in our LGA in the last week, so keep the N95 handy for public indoor spaces.
Weather Situation
Strong winds over the southern coastal waters will gradually ease as a low over eastern Bass Strait moves eastwards and heads into the Tasman Sea through today, with a weak ridge of high pressure extending along the coast in the wake. Then a fresh easterly airstream will develop along the coast from Wednesday as a strong high builds over the southern Tasman Sea.
