Jason Talks 'Pain' & Disappointment Involving Selling Sunset Season 5
Selling Sunset's Jason Oppenheim opened up about the uncomfortable and sad content that will be released during season 5 of the Netflix reality series. Since the filming of season 5, Chrishell Stause and Jason have broken up. Due to differences in their futures, the Selling Sunset couple parted ways, to the disappointment of fans. While fans were finally beginning to see Jason in a new light, focused on a stable relationship, he and Chrishell were unable to agree when it came to children and family life.
While both co-stars have explained they are still friends and wish the best for one another, they still have had a hard time shifting their relationship. As they continue to work alongside one another at the office and on Selling Sunset, Chrishell and Jason will have to navigate the inevitable awkwardness of their situation. Now that the two are broken up, there still appears to be feelings present between the stars, with Mary sharing that Jason still cares for Chrishell despite the end of their romance.
Jason recently spoke with the Mirror, saying that next season is going to be full of "sadness, pain and loss" for him. The next season of Selling Sunset is full of information and scenes featuring Jason and Chrishell as a couple, a touchy subject in light of their recent split. Watching their love story unfold on the small screen might be uncomfortable for fans and brutal for the stars of the series. Jason explained that Selling Sunset season 5 is "not something I am looking forward to" and that he "is not ready to talk about what happened with Chrishell." Still torn up over the end of their relationship, Jason is surprisingly sentimental and emotional over their breakup. Often focused on short-term relationships and bachelor living, Jason seems attached to Chrishell, mourning the loss of a great relationship.
Reality star Chrishell is sad about the breakup too, sharing moments of jealousy over her ex. With smiles on their faces, the two have tried to brave the media coverage and pain of losing one another because of Chrishell's desire to be a mother. Even though there are strong feelings between the reality stars, they accepted that they have different end goals that simply don't align. As Selling Sunset season 5 approaches, old emotions are boiling to the surface, with Jason mentioning that he is "usually good at going on with business but...thinks about [Chrishell] every day." Calling the situation "tough," Jason seems to be heartbroken over the series and his lack of compatibility with Chrishell. With exciting new beginnings and tragic ends, Selling Sunset season 5 is filled with mixed emotions.
While fans are excited to get new updates on their favorite agents, they are in for a bit more sadness than usual for the series. Even though Chrishell and Jason's relationship was short-lived, their breakup has left a sad imprint on the cast and series. As the series welcomes a new agent and works on healing at the Oppenheim Group, fans can expect more emotion and vulnerability going into Selling Sunset season 5.
Selling Sunset season 5 premieres April 22 on Netflix.
