[Women's Track & Field] Simpson Sets Records; SXU Places 4th at CMU Invitational

Fayette, Mo. – Sophomore Madison Simpson (Burbank, Ill./Reavis) broke her own school records in both the Hammer and Shot Put for the Saint Xavier University women's track & field team at the Central Methodist University (Mo.) Invitational this weekend in Fayette, Mo. Simpson placed 4th in the Hammer with a throw of 41.55m and earned five points and placed 6th in the Shot Put with a toss of 11.26m to earn three points. As a team, SXU totaled 62 points to finish in 4th place out of 18 teams. Host CMU won the event with a score of 193 points.
