Despite its specified name and visual design, the Claw Talisman in Elden Ring enhances the damage output of jump attacks from all weapons by 15%. Yet, the Talisman does work particularly well with dual-wielded Claw armaments, as the weaponry's strongest attack will be the jumping downward slash. The buff of the Claw Talisman additionally stacks with the Raptor's Black Feathers chest piece, resulting in around a 25% increase in total damage in Elden Ring when paired with the Talisman in Elden Ring.
The potent Claw Talisman is located in one of the areas most Tarnished will explore during their first hours of the game — Stormveil Castle. However, the collectible is hidden atop a watchtower accessible from a rather indistinct route, causing many adventurers to likely miss the Talisman. Fortunately, reaching the watchtower doesn't take too much effort, as long as Tarnished know where to take the first leap of faith.
First, Elden Ring fans must arrive at the Site of Grace within the Rampart Tower. This Grace point is accessed primarily by going through the "hidden" route Gatekeeper Gostoc recommends to the player when they first get to the Stormveil Main Gate. After reaching the Grace site, they can immediately make their way to the watchtower with the Claw Talisman in Elden Ring.
Starting from the Rampart Tower, exit out the doorway leading to the rampart walkway covered with explosive barrels and guarded by Stormveil Warhawks. However, instead of going to the left, look at the Martyr Effigy sitting near the ledge. Turn slightly to the right to notice a small wooden plank lying nearby. This plank indicates the spot where Tarnished should sprint-leap across the rooftop in the distance. The player will need a bit of confidence and faith that they land safely, as the corner of the roof they will land on will be concealed from view as they jump across. As Elden Ring adventurers take the leap, they must ensure they aim towards the rooftop's left corner because the rest of the landing area on the left is blocked by a short stone wall.
After successfully making it across, walk straight towards the collapsed pillar in the east. Reach the ledge above, and circle around to the base of the watchtower. Several Castle Guards will be guarding the area. Tarnished are advised to take them out first to avoid trouble climbing the ladder ahead. Once the enemies are dead, ascend the tower to the top. Clear away the flock of birds and loot the corpse in the right corner to obtain the Claw Talisman in Elden Ring.
