And spirits seemed high, with Woods, 46, and McIlroy, 32, sharing a laugh and fist bump together as they continued to practice ahead of the first round on Thursday.
The duo have a combined 19 major wins between them, including five Masters triumphs.

Fans are still waiting to see whether Woods will enter himself into this year’s competition – 14 months after his near fatal car crash in Los Angeles.
Woods has promised a “game time” decision on whether he will declare himself for Thursday’s opening round.
But Butch Harmon has warned Woods will only play if he believes he has a real chance of winning the entire tournament.
The signs appear to be good though, as after a nine-hole practice round on Monday Woods took to the course once again on Tuesday, where he was snapped alongside McIlroy.

McIlroy duck-hooked a drive and played a shot from a cabin, before finally putting in for a TRIPLE bogey.
