However, there’s no shortage of competition from the Premier League.
Newcastle are second in the betting market, while West Ham, Manchester United and Everton are also in contention.
Gallagher has gone from strength to strength at Selhurst Park this season.
The 22-year-old has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 31 appearances in all competitions.
His exploits earned him a call up to Gareth Southgate’s England squad in November, and he featured in both of the recent friendlies.
Gallagher will return to Stamford Bridge when his loan expires in June.
But regular first-team football looks unlikely given the competition from international trio Jorginho, N’Golo Kante, and Mateo Kovacic.
Chelsea could therefore decide to cash in, with some reporting that his price tag could be upwards of £60million.

If Chelsea do sell — who is favourite to sign Conor Gallagher?
Crystal Palace are the clear frontrunners at 2/1 with Vieira understandably eager to keep hold of his talented midfielder.
Newcastle and West Ham are next in the market at 6/1 and 7/1 respectively, while Manchester United are a fraction behind at 8s.
Everton are 10/1 but any bids from the Toffees would likely hinge on avoiding relegation under former Blues boss Frank Lampard.
Gallagher has said he is yet to decide his future next season: “No, no, not at all.
“I just take every game as it comes to be honest. I’ve not thought too far ahead at all.
“I think in the stage we’re at in this season and where Palace are at as a team, we can’t afford to look too far into the future.”
