This Morning’s Alison Hammond mercilessly mocked by ITV co-stars for her outfit – but can you see why?

THIS Morning’s Alison Hammond found herself mercilessly mocked by her colleagues for her outfit choice today.

The 47-year-old star appeared on TV in a bright orange waistcoat – and many of her co-workers started making the same joke.

Ranvir Singh, 44, who was filling in for Lorraine Kelly, started the trouble, saying: “I like your hi-vis jacket, Alison.”

She replied: “Thank you” before bursting into uncontrollable laughter.

Alison’s This Morning co-host Dermot O’Leary added: “There’s a bit of stewarding going on afterwards.”

Ranvir doubled down on the joke later, posting a shot of Alison in the bright garment on Instagram.

She wrote: “Need a pothole that needs filling? I’ve got the woman for the job #hivis #fashion.”

Alison complained on the show: “Can you believe what Ranvir just said about me? She said that I look like I’m wearing a high viz jacket.

“This is the style this is what I’m wearing. This is not high viz it’s just an – I would say coral – jacket.”

Dermot replied: “I didn’t get the memo. I didn’t know we were moonlighting and doing that bin round later on.”

Fans joined in too, with one tweeting: “Normally Alison looks stunning, but today with that orange vest thing, it looks like she is a council worker ready to collect the bins! Sorry, but true.”

Another wrote: “Alison and Dermot if you’re the bin men please come and empty ours as they are on strike and have been for weeks.”
