MasterChef viewers left screaming at the TV after contestant can’t boil an egg

MASTERCHEF fans have been left gobsmacked after a contestant failed to boil an egg for the judges.

Budding chef Nazya, 42, decided to whip up a traditional Pakistani dish of Shikampur kofta curry with cumin rice for Gregg Wallace and John Torode.

The NHS medical adviser had hoped to serve it alongside a bowl of ‘boiled eggs in a pickled salad’.

But when cooking her dish during the first round of Tuesday’s show, Nazya’s eggs went horribly wrong.

Moving one around in the frying pan, she sighed and said: “Please? Too soft. And if I cut it open it will run. It shouldn’t be runny when serving it with a curry.”

Nazya decided to ditch her runny mishaps and serve her main course without any eggs.

She added: “It’s disappointing but it doesn’t mean the taste won’t be great.”

MasterChef fans couldn’t believe their eyes and took to Twitter to comment on Nazya’s unfortunate blunder.

One tweeted: “So you are on Masterchef and literally cannot boil an egg.”

Another wrote: “Sorry? She couldn’t boil the egg right?”

A third viewer chimed in: “What? You can’t cook a hard boiled egg? Home time!”

Eagle-eyed John was quick to notice that there were no eggs on Nazya’s plate, too.

“Were we supposed to have eggs with this?” he asked her.

Flustered, Nazya replied: “Yes, I’m sorry. I couldn’t get an egg which was to my liking.”

Thankfully for Nazya, she managed to scrape through and was able to have a second go at impressing John and Gregg.

After being tasked with making a dessert, the budding cook whipped up a delicious chilli and cardamom warm chocolate tart and sailed through to next week.
