Top prospect Bobby Witt Jr. opening season with Royals

Third baseman Bobby Witt Jr., the No. 1-ranked prospect in Major League Baseball, was named to the Kansas City Royals' Opening Day roster on Tuesday.

Drafted second overall by the Royals in 2019, the 21-year-old Witt will make his MLB debut when Kansas City hosts the Cleveland Guardians on Thursday afternoon.
