LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - How to Complete the Crystal Corruption Puzzle
The crystal corruption puzzle is a side activity on Exegol that can be completed for a Kyber Brick in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Kyber Bricks are collectibles that can be used, along with Studs, to purchase new core skills and upgrades as well as abilities for each character class. The crystal corruption puzzle only awards one Kyber Brick, but it's one of the quicker puzzles to solve in the Sith Citadel on Exegol.
Before the crystal corruption puzzle can be solved, players will need to have Exegol unlocked in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Exegol is the last place players will visit while playing through The Rise of Skywalker, so unlocking it means completing every story mission in the sequel trilogy. After completing the "Be With Me" mission in The Rise of Skywalker, the Sith Citadel on Exegol can be explored in Free Play, and the crystal corruption puzzle can be solved.
As soon as players land on Exegol, they can follow the trail of Studs to the elevator. The Crystal Corrupter, who gives information about the puzzle, can be found in the area across from the spinning clone-making machine. The NPC can be found and spoken to in the spot that has black towers with red crystals on top of them. Unless the Universal Translator in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is unlocked, the Crystal Corrupter can only be spoken to with a Protocol Droid or a character in the Dark Side class.
The Crystal Corrupter explains that he's looking for a way to change a Kyber Crystal so he can make his own red lightsaber. However, one of the four towers is missing the top portion. Players will need to find the missing piece before the rest of the towers can be aimed at the mechanism holding the Kyber Crystal. To find the missing piece, players can go up the stairs to the left behind the clone maker.
The room at the top of the stairs has the missing piece in the back corner. Any character in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga that can use the Force will be able to grab the piece and move it to the tower. As soon as the missing piece is placed at the top of the first tower, a red beam will shoot to the second one. Each tower needs to be moved using the handle at its base until the beam crosses the crystal at the top of it.
After positioning the last tower, the beam will shoot toward the Kyber Crystal next to the Crystal Corrupter. Unfortunately, the beam causes an explosion and no red lightsaber is produced. Despite the failed attempt, players will still receive a Kyber Brick for their efforts. If the Crystal Corrupter is spoken to again, he will mention feeling a little funny after the experiment. The crystal corruption puzzle is one of many that can be solved across the galaxy in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC.
