JUST because you may not be rich doesn’t mean your home has to look down in the dumps.

In a TikTok, Maple shared photos of her home before and after some serious redecorating with the message: “Back when I used to think that just because I had no money my house had to be ugly.”

In the first photo, Maple’s home is dark with green-painted walls, brown furniture, and an old-fashioned rug.

Then, Maple gives her home a drastic makeover into a bright and cozy space.

Her green walls were painted white, her furniture was updated to a light grey set, and she decorated with modern pieces.

Over the photos of her newly decorated home, Maple wrote the message: “After learning that it’s possible to style a home without being rich.”

In the comment section, people were in shock over Maple’s home transformation as many believe she got a new home altogether, such as one who wrote: “Wait doesn’t even look like the same house?”

Someone else added: “No freaking way. The new style requires so much money.”

“Wow what an improvement,” a third comment read.

Another person quipped: “With a little bit of creativity, imagination, and a dollar tree near you, you too can make this happen.”

Meanwhile, Maple has shared some insight into how she was able to transform her home while staying on a budget.

In one video, she wrote that a majority of her home is from Walmart, Amazon, Five Below, Target’s dollar section, was thrifted, and found on sale.

Some of the new home items Maple was able to find at an affordable price were her $200 grey couch from Facebook Marketplace, $5 couch pillows from Five Below, and $10 fake plants from Amazon.

In another video, she advised that when it comes to saving money on your home: “Thrift or take hand me downs. Search Facebook Marketplace… Don’t be afraid to do a DIY makeover and make it your own.”
