One of the best heavyweight armor sets in Elden Ring is the Banished Knight Set, a 4-piece collection of armor that provides exceptionally high defenses stats, Poise, and overall resistances. The Banished Knight Set and its Altered pieces can be farmed in multiple locations throughout the Lands Between, including Limgrave, Caelid, Mountaintops of the Giants, and even Crumbling Farum Azula. However, the most convenient and straightforward spots to farm the sets are in Limgrave and Caelid, specifically Stormveil Castle and the Cathedral of Dragon Communion. In addition, of course, Tarnished adventurers can consider Castle Sol and Azula's Dragon Temple as potential sites for farming the Banished Knight Set. However, due to the complex area layouts and the high-level enemies, players are advised to farm in Limgrave and Caelid.
First, to acquire the Altered Helm and Armor of the Banished Knight Set, Elden Ring fans can farm a single elite enemy within Stormveil Castle. Then, starting from the Rampart Tower, head out the southeast doorway to the staircase leading down the exterior of the outer walls. Near the exit, Tarnished will encounter a patrolling Banished Knight that can be easily backstabbed if stealthily approached. Once the foe has been slain, fast travel back to the Rampart Tower Grace and repeat this process until both the Altered pieces have been acquired.
To get the Banished Knight's "Unaltered," cloth-covered versions of the head and chest pieces, head to the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in South Caelid.
