Masked Singer: Ken Jeong Makes Panelists Laugh With Armadillo Guess

0

The Masked Singer panelist Ken Jeong made a guess so outrageous for Armadillo's identity that it prompted his fellow panelists to laugh at him. Ken is known on the show for spitting out very unrealistic guesses, typically with no reasonable evidence. Last week, a season 7 frontrunner, Ringmaster, gave a clue that she was either born in the '90s or had a career during that decade. Ken somehow spun this to mean the contestant is pop superstar Taylor Swift since she was born in 1989, a year before 1990. Even the contestant seemed to think the guess was ridiculous and did not line up with a single clue Ringmaster had given.

While the panelist is typically very off with his guesses, he did have one success thus far. This season on The Masked Singer, the other panelists, who typically have some clever and correct guesses, have not been able to guess one contestant correctly. Last week, guest panelist Nicole Byer was the only one to guess Hydra as Las Vegas magicians Penn and Teller. Luckily for Ken, during Lemur's elimination, his guess was spot-on and, for maybe the first time, actually made sense. The panelist guessed that supermodel Christie Brinkley was behind the purple and white Team Cuddly costume. The panelists and host Nick Cannon were shocked to see that Ken was actually right for once and was able to correctly connect all the clues and tie them to the model.

Unfortunately, Ken seems to have taken 10 steps backward, as his guess for Armadillo might be his wildest yet. A preview for the next episode of The Masked Singer reveals that Ken believes Academy Award-winning actor Al Pacino is behind the Armadillo costume. The guess is so out of left field that panelists Robin Thicke, Jenny McCarthy, Nicole Scherzinger, and guest panelist Leslie Jordan burst into laughter. "I'm disheartened by the snickering, but this is Al Pacino, and I'll tell you why," Ken says. The panelist goes on to insist that the hints from Armadillo's clue package, including handcuffs, point to the actor's roles in Serpico and Scarface.

While Ken's confidence is always convincing, fans think someone much different than The Godfather actor is behind the Armadillo costume. After looking at the clues and listening closely to the performer's voice, fans are sure Armadillo is Duane "Dog" Chapman from Dog The Bounty Hunter. The contestant's clues have included a motorcycle, hot dogs and black sunglasses similar to the ones Dog is known for wearing. Another hard-to-deny clue appeared during Armadillo's sing-off with Hydra. The contestant performed "Walkin' The Dog" by Rufus Thomas, and fans thought this was clear evidence that Dog is behind the Team Good costume.

If there's one thing Ken is actually good at, it's making the panelists and fans laugh. He surely isn't so great at making accurate guesses, but at least he presents them with great confidence. As the competition narrows down, fans will get a chance to see if their guess for Armadillo is correct or if they're also off with their detective skills. Either way, Ken might be disappointed to find that the House Of Gucci actor is likely not on The Masked Singer.
