Only 3 Kmart stores remain in US, which once had over 2,000 locations

NEW YORK CITY, New York: After a new round of closures, there will soon be only three Kmart stores remaining in the U.S., with the store in Avenel, New Jersey being the latest store scheduled to close.

After the New Jersey store's closure, the number of Kmarts in the U.S., once well over 2,000, will be down to three, according to multiple reports, in a retail sector now dominated by Walmart, Target and Amazon.
