LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga - 10 Fun Easter Eggs For Star Wars Fans

0

The newest LEGO Star Wars game is overflowing with stuff for fans to sink their teeth into, not least of all a plethora of easter eggs that are fun for fans to discover. Easter eggs are constant in the franchise nowadays, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga has an insane amount of them for fans to enjoy, with many standing out with their humor or how they pay homage to other parts of the franchise.

One of the most entertaining parts of the vast game has been uncovering and looking out for these easter eggs, ranging from hidden missions to little moments in the dialogue to gameplay features.

Through a character DLC pack, Solo: A Star Wars Story, arguably the most underrated Star Wars film, has gotten a fair bit of representation in this game. This fun Easter egg adds to that, though.

Onboard the Millennium Falcon, Chewbacca begins reading a novel that depicts Lando Calrissian and L3-37's romance under the title "Among Clouds." They had such an interesting dynamic in the aforementioned movie, and supporters of the film will have enjoyed this slight nod.

The attention to detail in this game is done better than in every other LEGO video game in many players' minds, and a brilliant example of that detail comes in the voice acting of Leia Organa in the A New Hope level of the game.

Shelby Young, the performer of Leia in the game, initially gives Leia an English accent before later switching it up to an American one, just as the legendary Carrie Fisher did forty-five years ago. It is a fantastic little easter egg for hardcore fans aware of the accent change.

This game makes the player want to open every door, explore every avenue, and go down every path to find new and interesting things. Doing just that will allow fans to find a multitude of easter eggs, including Lando's cape closet.

During the iconic Luke Vs. Vader battle on Cloud City, the player can open up a door to find Lando's cape closet first seen in Solo: A Star Wars Story. Of course, these can all be destroyed for studs, but they are fun to find, especially with Luke's comment on nobody's needing so many capes.

While there are over 300 plus characters in the game, including those from DLC and unlock codes, the TV shows have not got the most representation. However, fans rejoiced when it was announced Din Djarin would be playable, and his inclusion has made way for one of the game's best references.

While on Tatooine, the players will come across Tusken Raiders who will act hostile towards and shoot at the player; unless they play as Din Djarin. With Din, they do not shoot, they are friendly. This is, of course, a reference to The Mandalorian, where his good relationship with the Tatooine natives is established.

The Emperor/Darth Sidious/Sheev Palpatine is a constant source of funny moments, great references, and fun easter eggs in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, and one of his best comes in his duel with Rey.

While fighting his granddaughter, Palpatine notes how he wanted to call Rey 'Kira.' This is a reference to the development of The Force Awakens, in which one of Rey's early names was Kira. This may seem like a stupid line to those, not in the know, but for those who know, Sidious' line is a great easter egg.

LEGO Star Wars games always provide great laughs, and one of the constant ways it does so is through stormtroopers. One funny moment in the games that remains in this installment is the hot tub stormtroopers.

Players can discover multiple stormtroopers enjoying hot tubs and can even walk in on a stormtrooper showering in their underwear and iconic helmet. They are such ridiculous little moments that add so much character to the games. Fans will never tire of these over-relaxed soldiers.

On Tatooine, the player will come across this strange protocol droid who will lead them into this extremely eery, creepy home and eventually to a Kyber Brick; this droid has a fascinating history.

This 'Ghost Droid' is  Nobot from the Legends timeline, a droid who is said to have wandered the sands of Tatooine, always ending up back at Mos Espa, and who witnessed the murder of a young pregnant woman. It is an intensely creepy easter egg.

Boss Battles in this game have gotten a bit of an overhaul from past versions of the game, with most of them improving on their past versions. One new element is the title introductions for characters which are accompanied by a fun note in Aurebesh.

Most of these are either funny or great references, including "Krayt Balls of Fire," for the Krayt Dragon, "Serious daddy issues," for Kylo Ren, "Red dude with a bad attitude" for Maul, "They protec but they also attac," for the Sovereign Protectors, and many, many more that every fan will enjoy.

Not all easter eggs and references require the player to do anything as there are various idle character animations that can be fantastic and hilarious easter eggs.

The most notable ones include Anakin, whose blue lightsaber turns red for a moment, Palpatine, who drops a lightsaber and kicks it away, Ki-Adi-Mundi, who plays with figures of a droid and Wookiee, and Luke Skywalker, who drinks blue milk. All of these and more are great references to the wider franchise.

Some of the very best and funniest easter eggs in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga are the interactions between the two characters used by the player at any chosen moment, with so many having bits of unique dialogue poking fun at or referencing the wider franchise.

There are so many great ones, and every player should try as many combinations as they can. Some standouts include two battle droids with their usual hilarious antics, Kylo Ren fanboying over Darth Vader, young Anakin asking about Vader's suit, Palpatine pestering Anakin, and Vader with his iconic stories, and Grievous fawning over the likes of Maul's lightsabers.
