I’m a nail tech & our jobs have become 20 times harder over the past 3 years – here’s my most hated demands

NAIL designs are definitely not what they used to be 20 years ago.

In fact, nail technician Giovanni Hernandez revealed that almost all of his requests require several hours to do while people get more impatient.

Fed-up, Hernandez took to social media to highlight how difficult being a nail technician has become in the past few years.

In a video, he started his rant: “I’ll never understand how people assume that those super long elaborate nails you see all over the internet take 30 minutes.

“These types of nails, first of all, start off horrible looking and can take upwards of three hours.”

Finishing off, the nail artist had one simple request. He asked that the next time you get a set of fancy, extremely long nails to not complain about the prices, as he and his fellow nail artists are “literally catching arthritis and carpal tunnel.”

And according to Hernandez, over the last 10 years, the average nail technician’s job has become 20 times harder.

In his video caption, the disillusioned man further expressed his stance: “No one cuts us any slack.

“Our fingers are literally getting messed up over the years just to work and make a living. Appreciate us.”

People in the comments fully understood Hernandez’s sentiment.

“It’s true people be wanting a Picasso painting on each nail,” one joked.

Another had some insight about the difficulty of Hernandez’s job: “I mean it’s not only the length it’s also the detail and position and beautiful work you put into it so good job and thank for what you do.”

“I mean when I used to get my nails done, just basic short nothing fancy, it would take an hour minimum…” someone reasoned.

“I am literally learning for myself to save money. And yes… The nail techs who you can see put [in] their all? PROPS!”

“Speaking facts. I was in a lot of pain last month after doing Christmas sets & my wrists hurt so bad it was hard to sleep cause of the pain,” shared a fellow nail tech.

“You’re not even lying!! My best friend who is a nail tech is already getting cramps on her hand lol,” another viewer certified Hernandez’s point.
