RHONJ: Jennifer Reveals She Talks To Jacqueline Despite Teresa Feud
The Real Housewives of New Jersey star Jennifer Aydin revealed that she speaks to Jacqueline Laurita, despite Jacqueline and Teresa Giudice's past feud. RHONJ season 12 has been packed with drama from the outset, particularly between Jennifier and castmate Margaret Josephs. Tensions rose between the two women as Jennifer openly took jabs at the way Margaret met and connected with her current husband, Joe Benigno. Margaret and Joe began their relationship through an affair, which Margaret owns and has never denied, but it clearly doesn't sit well with Jennifer, who will find any excuse to bring it up. Margaret and Joe are happily married and have proved naysayers wrong with their lasting love. Still, Jennifer and Margaret butted heads on multiple occasions.
The simmering tension bubbled to a boil when Margaret revealed that Jennifer's husband, Bill Aydin, previously had an affair himself. Viewers were shocked to hear that Jennifer and Bill's seemingly perfect marriage had endured its own share of difficulties. With the news of Bill's affair, Jennifer's disdain for Margaret and Joe's affair made more sense, as she said she empathized with the partners who were cheated on, having been in that situation herself. Meanwhile, Margaret has another battle on her hands with Teresa. Throughout the season, Margaret was quick to cast doubt on Teresa's fiancée, Luis Ruelas. Margaret was suspicious of Luis' intentions, his business dealings and his motives. Teresa felt hurt and betrayed by Margaret's lack of support but was able to lean on Jennifer as a source of understanding.
During an appearance on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live, Jennifer revealed her thoughts about Teresa's friendship and feud with Jacqueline. Back in RHONJ season 4, Teresa got angry with Jacqueline for probing for stories about her in the press, which triggered Teresa. Speaking of the incident, Jennifer said, "We all know Teresa doesn't like being asked questions." Jennifer left no doubt about which woman she sided with, however, saying, "So, yes, Jacqueline was wrong." Jennifer clarified that just because she felt Jacqueline was wrong in the situation doesn't mean she holds her own grudge. Revealing more about her own relationship with Jacqueline, Jennifer commented, "I've spoken to her on the phone. She's sweet. I have nothing against Jacqueline at all."
Some fans have asserted that Jennifer took her friendship with Teresa too far. Even other cast members, notably Melissa Gorga, have noticed how quick Jennifer was to come to Teresa's defense. Melissa and Jennifer have engaged in their own feud over the years, with Melissa accusing the reality star of enjoying driving a wedge between her and her sister-in-law. Right before the RHONJ season 11 reunion, Melissa threw kerosene on the fire by sharing a cast photo on social media that included everyone but Jennifer. For her part, Jennifer has called Melissa boring and made claims that her storylines are lifeless and dull.
If one thing is certain, it's that the complicated web of friends, frenemies and full-blown enemies make The Real Housewives of New Jersey one of the messiest and most entertaining shows in the franchise. Despite being a loyal friend, Jennifer has been labeled the villain by many viewers for her antagonistic and blunt ways. With alliances between the housewives constantly shifting, and storylines changing, Jennifer's arc is far from over.
