The Ultimatum: Rae Mocks Fans For Believing Only What They See On Show

0

The Netflix series The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On star Rae Williams is mocking fans for believing only what they saw on the show about her relationship with ex-boyfriend Zay Wilson. Rae initially presented Zay with an ultimatum, bringing him onto the show because she was ready to get engaged, and he was not. However, she quickly made a connection with fellow cast member Jake Cunningham, whose girlfriend, April Melohn, had given him an ultimatum as well. After spending time with Jake, when she returned to Zay, she realized she wasn't ready for marriage after all. On the other hand, Zay realized he did want to marry Rae. The couple basically switched their positions from the start of The Ultimatum.

The disagreement caused a fight between the two, resulting in Zay going out and returning home at 8 a.m. His behavior was the last straw for Rae, and she broke up with him immediately. She explained to fans on TikTok that she had taken her ultimatum back after realizing she was putting too much pressure on herself to get married and start a family right after graduating from college because that is what society expects of people. At The Ultimatum reunion, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, Rae and Zay briefly discussed how they'd tried to date again but couldn't agree on the true story of what had happened after filming. Fans, who from the start of the season disliked Rae, along with Madlyn Ballatori and Colby Kissinger, took Zay's side and felt sorry for the cast member.

However, Rae is not allowing fans to act like she is the bad one, as she took to social media to joke about how unwilling they are to believe anything that happened offscreen. The Ultimatum star made a TikTok video where she called out fans for not believing anything she says about how she and Zay tried to patch up their relationship after filming ended. On the show, it appeared that the two broke up, and that was that, but Rae says this is only what the Netflix series, which fans have compared to Love Is Blind, showed viewers. In the TikTok video, Rae plays a double role as herself and as a fan, having a comical conversation where she tries to explain to fans the truth, but they just won't listen.

Rae explains to the imaginary fan that she and Zay went on dates and worked on better communication with each other after filming ended, but the hypothetical fan replies, "We didn't see that, so it literally did not happen." The star captioned the video "what I deal with on social media," also adding, "I promise we both tried and there was love there. I didn’t just drop him after meeting Jake." After Jake and April broke up in The Ultimatum finale, Jake presented Rae with two tickets to travel anywhere in the world. However, during the reunion episode, the two revealed they did not go on the trip, as they both had a lot of healing to do from the relationships they had recently gotten out of. Instead, Rae revealed that she had been dating another woman.

Fans should know by now that reality TV editors know how to get creative with their storylines. They don't always give viewers the full truth of what is going on in the stars' lives. Rae has every right to be irritated with fans telling her things about her own life that they'd never know. However, her comical response added a lighthearted twist to the situation, which might just win over some The Ultimatum fans who initially sided with Zay.
