Chris Hemsworth Reacts To New Thor: Love & Thunder Trailer
Chris Hemsworth reacts to the first Thor: Love and Thunder trailer. After a long wait, Marvel Studios finally kicked off the marketing campaign for the upcoming Taika Waititi-directed flick. Clocking in at just a minute and a half, the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer reveals what Thor has been up to since Avengers: Endgame.
Hemsworth and Waititi reunite for the second time in the MCU after the success of Thor: Ragnarok, which effectively changed the character's trajectory—announced during the San Diego Comic-Con 2019. Thor: Love and Thunder will also see the return of Jane Foster in the franchise, and this time, she becomes the Mighty Thor. The highly-anticipated blockbuster will also have a much bigger cast with returning characters like Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson), Lady Sif (Jamie Alexander), and several Guardians of the Galaxy members. Thor and his team will have to come together against Christian Bale, who plays Gorr the God Butcher — the movie's main antagonist.
Marvel Studios finally released the trailer for Thor: Love and Thunder, and it was undoubtedly worth the months-long wait. In response to the trailer reveal, Hemsworth took to his official Twitter account and teased the public about what they could expect from the MCU film, calling it "a classic Thor adventure. Big, loud and Crazy and full of heart." Read his full tweet below:

Marvel Studios' delayed marketing start for the movie has kept fans on edge for weeks. And without any hints that Thor: Love and Thunder's trailer was dropping today, it certainly surprised the public — in a good way. Kevin Feige and his team are also busy marketing their other projects, such as Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and the TV series Ms. Marvel — both of which are slated to release ahead of the Waititi-directed flick. But now that Marvel Studios has started promoting Thor 4 expect more publicity materials to come out in the next few weeks leading up to its release. A new solo poster highlighting the God of Thunder has been rolled out; chances are that an ensemble one is also underway.
Hemsworth's tease is intriguing. Thor: Love and Thunder's first trailer mainly focused on the comedic side of things with some snippets of Zeus (Russell Crowe) and the first live-action look at Mighty Thor. Based on Hemsworth's tweet, the film won't just be a straight-up comedy. Granted that he doesn't give any specific plot points, but the fact that he wrote that fans would laugh, cry, and laugh while watching the flick indicates that the teaser has barely revealed anything about the blockbuster's overall arc. This actually checks out with Waititi's past comment about Thor: Love and Thunder being more emotional than Thor: Ragnarok.
