God of War 2018 Likely Coming To GeForce Now Following Leak
It seems that God of War is coming to a new platform, as the Nvidia GeForce Now Twitter account is hinting that the game will arrive on the streaming platform in the future. This isn't too surprising, as God of War was mentioned in the infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak, which is seemingly becoming more accurate by the day.
GeForce Now is Nvidia's streaming service, which allows games to be streamed to devices that normally couldn't run them. There are a few features that make GeForce Now stand out from the crowd and make it a worthwhile competitor to services like Amazon Luna or Google Stadia. It's possible for a subscriber to sync the service up to their Steam account, allowing them to stream compatible games that they own on that service. There is also a free tier for GeForce Now, but it only allows an hour of playtime.
God of War is already on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. It's also possible to stream the game on PC via a PlayStation Now subscription. God of War will likely be coming to a new streaming service soon, as the official Nvidia GeForce Now Twitter page has tweeted out a thinly-obscured screenshot from the game, with the GeForce Now logo displayed in the corner. It seems certain that God of War is coming to GeForce Now, but there is still no official confirmation or release window as of the time of writing.
God of War was one of the Sony games listed in the Nvidia GeForce Now leak and the fact that it's already on PC means that this move isn't surprising. What is more exciting is that there are other Sony games listed in the leak that could now come to GeForce Now. These include Demon’s Souls, Deracine, Ghost of Tsushima, Gran Turismo 7, Helldivers 2 (which hasn't even been announced yet), Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank, Returnal, and Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Sony has discussed how it will support the PC platform more in the future, and having these games on a streaming service means that people with low-end computers can play them.
God of War fans were left disappointed today, as the game launched on this day back in 2018. Yet the only news from the developers was there was no God of War: Ragnarok news to be shared, leading to speculation that it will be delayed till 2023. A God of War GeForce Now announcement would at least give fans a reason to celebrate, as it would introduce the game to a wider audience.
God of War is available now for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PS4, and PS5.
