Interior Design Masters viewers in stitches at ‘livid’ contestant’s reaction to elimination in semi-final
INTERIOR Design Masters viewers were left in stitches at a ‘livid’ contestant’s reaction to being eliminated in the semi-final.
The latest episode of the BBC series saw the three remaining contestants – Paul, Amy and Banjo – challenged to upgrade a luxury holiday lodge.
Each had individual themes to work to and each designer took quite a different approach in trying to fit the brief.
However, Paul Andrews approached it with the self-confidence and belief that he’s presented throughout the series, leading some at home to wish for his downfall.
Earlier on in the series, Paul had described himself as “a creative genius”, but in the semi-final, it was his choice of sofas that let him down.
Judge Michelle Ogundehin first told Amy she was through to the final, before telling Paul he should have changed his sofas and putting Banjo through to the top two.

The split-second look on Paul’s face before he composed himself and thanked everyone for the experience had some viewers at home in stitches.
Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Paul is going He thought he was a dead cert. #interiordesignmasters.”
Another added: “Amy & Banjo are thru ! The look of shock on Paul’s face was priceless #InteriorDesignMasters.”
A third tweeted: “Phew. Yay Amy and Banjo in the final, I’ll be happy with either of them winning. Goodbye Paul, don’t forget to take your massive ego with you.”

However another viewer said: “Paul has been sheer TV gold over the past few weeks. Give him his own show! #interiordesignmasters.”
As Paul bid his goodbyes, he became emotional, saying: “I’ve had such a fantastic…”
Pausing to compose himself, he continued: “I’m not going to cry. No it’s been amazing, and these two guys are amazing.
“I’ve had a brilliant week, and to get this far…. it’s been amazing.”
