Elden Ring: How To Get Every Crimson Amber Medallion
Elden Ring Tarnished running ranged or glass-cannon builds should consider equipping the Crimson Amber Medallion for a substantial bonus to max HP.
The Crimson Amber Medallion is a Talisman in Elden Ring that raises one's maximum HP pool by 6%. This Talisman features two upgraded variants that further boost the HP stat by 7% and 8%, respectively. While these values may not seem like much from a glance, they provide a significant gain in Health if used before reaching the soft cap of Vigor 60. For example, Tarnished builds with Vigor 55 can equip the Crimson Amber Medallion to increase their max HP from 1814 to 1950, which equals approximately 13 Levels. Naturally, a point will come during one's playthrough where max HP will generally not matter. However, these boosts are substantial enough to prevent certain enemy attacks from one or two-shotting a player.
The base version of the Crimson Amber Medallion in Elden Ring can effortlessly be obtained by purchasing the Talisman for 1,500 Runes from the Nomadic Merchant of the Weeping Peninsula. Tarnished adventurers can find this NPC beside the Castle Morne Rampart Site of Grace, near the spawn point of the Night's Cavalry that drops the Nightrider Flail and Ash of War: Barricade Shield.
Compared to the base variant, the Crimson Amber Medallion +1 becomes accessible much later during one's playthrough in Elden Ring. To get the +1 version, Tarnished must gain entry to the exterior portion of Volcano Manor, the massive estate at the top of Mt. Gelmir, Altus Plateau. After joining the manor's clan, players can enter this exterior area once they've received the Drawing-Room Key from Headmistress Tanith.
Starting from the Prison Town Church Grace, head outside and traverse across the rooftops to the western side of the manor ruins. On the way to the Guest Hall, Tarnished travelers will encounter a tower barred by an Imp Statue Seal. After using a Stonesword to dispel the barrier, Elden Ring fans can enter the tower's dungeon to find the Crimson Amber Medallion +1 on a corpse hanging from the wooden platform of the upper level. Be cautious of the horde of zombies and Abductor Virgin guarding the structure's interior.
To get the Crimson Amber Medallion +2 in Elden Ring, Tarnished must trigger the world event during which Leyndell burns to the ground, transforming into the Ashen Capital. This event occurs once Maliketh has been slain in Crumbling Farum Azula. Starting from the Site of Grace at Leyndell, Capital of Ash, go towards the giant, gaping hole in the southwest that leads to the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds. Carefully drop onto the platforms below to reach a single wooden beam overlooking the Underground Roadside. Here, Tarnished will find a hanging corpse with the Crimson Amber Medallion +2.
Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
