I’m an interior designer – the item making your home look cheap, it’s in every room but there’s a quick fix
EXPOSED cables and cords are out, an interior designer has revealed.
The woman, who goes by Stephanie on social media, shared a video explaining why this cheapens your home.
Stephanie explained that exposed cords can play a huge part in why your home might feel cheap, but hiding them will help easily elevate your space.
“Hide those cords and it can make such a difference,” she said.
In her home, Stephanie used a cord cover to hide dangling wires from her mounted television.
She said similar cord covers can be found on Amazon for just around $13.

“It’s a great way to disguise those cords and really distract your eye from all of that mess,” she said.
Stephanie said another way to hide the cords is with a plastic clip.
Ones similar to what she used can be found for about $10 on Amazon.
“These clips attach to the wall and are easy to remove,” she said.

She wrapped up the long cords and used the clip to hold it all together.
By doing so, you prevent them from dragging on the floor and making it look cluttered.
Stephanie used the clip behind her nightstand so that floor underneath is clean rather than crowded with cords.
