Two San Francisco shootings believed to be murder-suicide

Two men were fatally shot in what San Francisco police suspect was a murder-suicide.

A call at 6:12 p.m. Wednesday sent officers to the 200 block of Farallones Street, in the Oceanview neighborhood. They found a 65-year-old man inside a vehicle on the street suffering from a gunshot wound, which investigators believe to be self-inflicted.

Officers learned that there was a second shooting victim inside a home on the street. They found a 45-year-old man, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man in the vehicle was taken to a hospital, where he died.

The San Francisco Medical Examiner’s Office had not disclosed the identity of either victim.

It was the second homicide in the city in less than 24 hours. A man was shot on Tuesday in the Fillmore district.
