Man beaten up in St George's Bay outlet

A man was injured when he was beaten up in a shop in St George's Bay on Sunday night.

The police said they were alerted to the case at 9pm but those involved had fled by the time officers arrived.

The victim, a 47-year-old Austrian, was given hospital treatment. The police did not say what the motive of the attack was.

Magistrate Charmaine Galea is holding an inquiry.
