‘Honestly, get up and carry on’ – Jamie Carragher rages at Richarlison for going down in Everton’s defeat to Liverpool
JAMIE CARRAGHER slammed Everton forward Richarlison as he lay on the ground when “nothing was wrong with him”.
Liverpool won 2-0 at Anfield to maintain a one point deficit behind Man City.
The Reds were trying to break through their time-wasting cross-city counterparts at the time, with the score goalless.
As half time approached, the Everton play-acting heightened.
And it maddened the former Liverpool centre-back, who was on commentary for Sky Sports.
The 44-year-old said: “Honestly, get up. Get up and carry on.

“If Doucoure gets a yellow card because his teammate goes down, that’s stupid from Doucoure trying to stop the game.
“And Richarlison, there’s nothing wrong with him.”
Richarlison angered Anfield with some histrionics later in the match.
He went down again after fellow Brazilian Fabinho brushed his fingers against the Everton forward’s face.

And Carragher’s ex-team-mate Stephen Warnock agreed when he spoke to BBC Radio 5 Live after the game.
He added: “I’ve never seen gamesmanship like it from Richarlison.
“He rolls round, and does it game after game.
“He’s so frustrating to watch because he’s a gifted footballer and I wonder why he wastes his time.”
The Toffee’s 68-year stay in the top flight may be in severe peril but Lampard and his team riled Liverpool’s players, fans and Sky pundit Carragher to the point of distraction.
Liverpool eventually mustered a 12th straight home league win and remain just a point adrift of champions City with five games to play.
