90 Day Fiancé: Shaeeda Reveals How She Feels About Bilal's House
90 Day Fiancé season 9 newcomer Shaeeda Sween got honest about her feelings towards Bilal Hazziez’s house after seeing it. The 42-year-old Bilal, who describes himself as a “hood bougie,” appears to be the complete opposite of Shaeeda, a yogini from Trinidad and Tobago, from what TLC has shown of them so far. It was Shaeeda, 37, who slid into Bilal’s DM's on social media and he found himself in a serious relationship seven years after his divorce. Bilal claims Shaeeda wasn’t aware of his financial status despite them meeting online. He kept his swanky house a secret from Shaeeda by video-calling her from against a white wall.
Bilal and Shaeeda spent only seven days together physically, but he still proposed to her and the couple got engaged. Bilal applied for Shaeeda’s K-1 visa. However, two months after his trip, the pandemic began, leaving them separated for two years. 90 Day Fiancé is following Shaeeda’s journey in the United States following her K-1 visa approval, and fans have watched Bilal confessing that he doesn’t fully trust Shaeeda’s intentions. While he may love Shaeeda and has even had a spiritual union ceremony so they can be “together,” Bilal admitted she’d never seen everything that he has. But to test Shaeeda, Bilal thought of playing a prank on her by taking her to his rundown childhood home and picking her up in a used van, which is nothing like the Mercedes he drives.
90 Day Fiancé fans were livid at Bilal disrespecting Shaeeda by making a joke about her on her first day in the States. A clip from 90 Day Fiancé episode 2, posted on the 90 Day Fiancé YouTube channel, revealed what Shaeeda really felt like after getting a tour of Bilal’s ramshackle home. As expected, Shaeeda was disappointed upon looking at Bilal’s house from the outside. She called it a “home from the 1900's” and added, “Must be an antique,” as Bilal corrected Shaeeda by saying, "It’s called historic.” Inside, Shaeeda noticed that the ceiling was at the risk of collapsing on them “any moment.” She exclaimed, “This is not real,” while calling the place “dilapidated” and “not the place I want to be at.”
Shaeeda admitted she hoped her and Bilal's new home would be spacious and “modern contemporary,” and this was the complete opposite of that. Shaeeda spoke about asking Bilal to send pictures of his house and vehicle, and his reply to both her requests was “no.” Bilal being so secretive made Shaeeda wonder what else he's hiding from her. Fans who were already angered by Bilal’s prank are now furious at how he’s playing mind games with Shaeeda and thinks money is the only thing he can offer her in the relationship. All that Bilal wants to do is protect his money from Shaeeda, while she is concerned about living in a house that’s potentially a health hazard. “To me, a stunt like this just proves he already knows what he mainly has to offer. Cause the personality ain't hitting on much,” observed a 90 Day Fiancé fan about Bilal.
Meanwhile, Shaeeda staying committed to Bilal in a two-year long-distance relationship should have been proof enough for Bilal to know that she’s not a gold digger who’s in it for his money. In turn, him disappointing her by introducing her to a life that even he won’t want to go back to is unnecessary at this stage when they are technically already married. Bilal being childish with a woman who looks so level-headed so far is something that will backfire on him on 90 Day Fiancé. However, spoilers suggest Bilal and Shaeeda got married in December 2021, which could mean she passed his "test" and she thought of him as her partner for life despite his immaturity.
90 Day Fiancé airs Sundays at 8 p.m. EDT on TLC.
