Netflix Intro Recreated With Super Low Budget By Talented Creator

0

Stop motion animator Kevin Parry shares his artsy take on Netflix’s iconic logo and opening animation. After starting online streaming in 2007, Netflix quickly became one of the most popular video platforms available. It eventually moved on from just hosting TV shows and movies to producing its own, including the recent Heartstopper adaptation. The streamer is constantly evolving; in 2019, Netflix switched out its classic red logo for the multi-coloured stripes that now play before every Netflix original.

Parry showed off his stop motion version of the Netflix logo on his Twitter. Using a mix of technology and arts and crafts, Parry’s yarn logo is an impressive take on the iconic opening. Parry filmed the clip over three days, with $30 worth of yarn, and a ridiculous amount of patience as he individually captured each frame. After receiving some feedback from friends, he decided to change some details during his edits this week. Check out Parry's creation below:

This Netflix logo is just the most recent of Parry’s work. He often shares his creations on social media and regularly has the internet in awe of his incredible stop motion skills. He put his animation abilities to good use while working at Laika on The Boxtrolls, Kubo and the Two Strings, and Missing Link. Now Parry posts frequently on his YouTube channel, sharing unbelievable editing illusions. He also runs a stop motion animation course for anyone interested in learning how to create phenomenal art just like his yarn Netflix logo.
