LEGO Star Wars Has A Witcher 3 Easter Egg You Probably Missed
Keen-eyed fans will notice an Easter Egg to The Witcher 3 hidden in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Here is where the reference can be found.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is easily the largest game in the LEGO Star Wars franchise and is filled with plenty of references to other games, such as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. The latest title from Traveller’s Tales features multiple hub worlds, allowing fans to explore the galaxy and take a break from the main story. On their journey, players may notice a well-crafted Easter egg for The Witcher 3. Hidden in the over 100 side-quests of The Skywalker Saga, a reference to the critically acclaimed open-world RPG can be found on the planet of Kef Bir.
The latest entry into the series encompasses the plot of Episodes I-IX. As with previous LEGO games, fans will also encounter many puzzles and intricate details scattered through the galaxy. Since its release, the title has received mostly positive reviews from the community, despite the crunch in The Skywalker Saga's development. The game immerses Star Wars fans like never before, through the use of well-crafted hub worlds. Obviously influenced by previously successful open-world titles, Traveller's Tales decided to pay homage to one of the greatest RPGs of the past decade.
The Witcher 3 may be one of the most significant games in recent memory. Having launched back in 2015, many players have spent countless hours exploring the game's expansive world. Unfortunately, not even The Witcher 3 was able to avoid the glitches and bugs that seem to be common with massive open-world titles. Developer CD Projekt Red has since patched out most issues found in the game, but not before hilarious memes were created by fans. A humourous glitch that occurred involved Geralt's horse, Roach, who could seemingly appear anywhere when summoned. This resulted in him getting stuck on top of a roof. This well-known Witcher 3 meme was recreated in Animal Crossing last year and is also referenced in LEGO Star War: The Skywalker Saga.
While horses do not exist in the LEGO Star Wars games, similar creatures called Orbaks can be found on the planet of Kef Bir. By talking to an Orbak Keeper, players can accept the side-quest "Untitled Orbak Game." Fans are tasked with the job of finding the escaped animals and bringing them back to the NPC. While searching, one of the Orbaks is seen on top of a roof of a building in the town. This is undoubtedly a reference to The Witcher 3's Roach meme. Like most LEGO games, The Skywalker Saga has many cool Easter eggs to other franchises for fans to find.
Even after seven years, The Witcher 3's influence is being spread throughout the gaming industry. Traveller's Tale chose to pay respect in the best way a LEGO title can, with a silly meme. While players have been scouring the galaxy to obtain 100% completion, they may come across other Easter eggs yet to be discovered in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.
