Two high school baseball players shot, one fatally, in Santa Ana, California

Two high school baseball players were shot in Santa Ana, California and one of them has died.

The Thursday night incident has prompted a search for the shooter.

Both Century High School baseball players were sitting in a car just before 7.30pm on the 1400 block of South Minnie Street when a suspect on foot approached and shot at them, according to the Santa Ana Police Department.

Roberto Izelo, 19, was shot and killed, a police spokesperson told ABC 7.

His 18-year-old cousin, who has not been identified, was transported to a hospital in stable condition.

Police released a short video showing the suspect wearing dark-colored clothing and crossing a street with slow traffic. They did not provide a detailed description of the suspect.
