This year’s NFL Draft is loaded with wide receiver talent. That much was known going into the first round on Thursday night.
What wasn’t always clear is who the consensus best amongst those receivers was perceived to be, or at least which would be the first off the board when the draft started. For that reason, there was tremendous betting value on the position. USC’s Drake London had the third-shortest odds on Tipico Sportsbook at +220.
Music artist Drake decided to try his luck with a bet on the receiver he shares a name with, and it paid off. Somehow the receiver-needy Green Bay Packers didn’t take one with either of their first-round picks. But maybe someone should’ve bet on that, because we could’ve seen that coming too.
