Human activities causing continuous land degradation around the world: UN report

Bonn [Germany], April 30 (ANI): Human activities are degrading and damaging land in an unsustainable manner, according to a new UN report.

Up to 40% of the earth's land area has already been degraded, mainly due to modern agriculture, and if this continues, the report predicts further degradation of an area roughly the size of South America by 2050.
