WINDSOR — A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was felt at about 11:18 a.m. Saturday in inland areas of Sonoma County, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake, which had an epicenter about 3.7 miles northwest of The Geysers in the Mayacamas Mountains, had an initial depth just over 2 miles, the USGS reported.

Local agencies in Sonoma County did not immediately announce any injuries or damage. Earthquakes with a magnitude between 3.0 and 3.9 “very rarely” produce damage but can often noticeably shake indoor objects, according to the USGS website.
