Seth Rogen, Aziz Ansari and a host of other comedians perform a table read of the classic Seinfeld shrinkage episode at Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival. Seinfeld, created by Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David, was one of the most successful sitcoms of the '90s. Running for a total of nine seasons between 1989 and 1998, the series follows a fictionalized version of Jerry as he and his three friends, George (Jason Alexander), Elaine (Julia Louis Dreyfus) and Kramer (Michael Richards), have various misadventures while living in New York City. During its run, Seinfeld saw massive success, winning a total of 10 Primetime Emmys, and has since continued to grow its fanbase since it found a new home on Netflix.
Many memorable Seinfeld moments have gone down as among the funniest in TV history. Whether one has seen the show or not, most people will have heard of characters like the Soup Nazi, who shouts "No soup for you!," or what it means if one is "master of their domain." Another such iconic scene is from the season 5 episode 20, "The Hamptons," in which Jerry's girlfriend accidentally sees George naked shortly after he has exited the pool, which leads to a heated discussion about the "shrinkage" factor. Since the episode first aired back in 1994, the scene has become one of the most enduring that Seinfeld has to offer.
During the recent Netflix Is A Joke: The Festival, Rogen put together a group which included Ansari, Jack Black, and Kathryn Hahn to perform a table read of the Seinfeld shrinkage episode. Now, Netflix Is A Joke shares a video of part of the read on YouTube, and fans can see the classic "shrinkage" scene come to life once more. The scene sees Rogen as Jerry, Ansari as George, and Hahn as Elaine as they discuss whether women know about the shrinkage factor, much to the audience's delight. The video is made even more hilarious by the fact that the stage directions are being read by Seinfeld alum John O'Hurley, who played J. Peterman on the show. See the full video below:

This short clip of the table read certainly shows the impact that Seinfeld had on the world of comedy. On the one hand, it speaks to how the series has influenced prominent comedians such as Rogen and Ansari, and how much respect they clearly have for the material. It also hints at how many of the Seinfeld jokes still hold up after nearly thirty years. Rogen and his friends repeatedly make the audience laugh uproariously, and the classic writing of the sitcom certainly has a lot to do with that.
Ultimately, this video is just a small clip of what the group of comedians brought to the audience during their table read. All together, the group performed three full Seinfeld episodes for the audience, though currently, "The Hamptons" shrinkage clip is the only section of the performance available for viewing. So far, there has been no word as to whether the rest of the performance will be made available for the public. Of course, this short clip certainly gives a good taste of the joy Rogen and his friends brought to the audience, and it will certainly encourage many to go back and rewatch the original episodes of Seinfeld.
