I’m a cleaning pro – how to get rid of radiator gunk in SECONDS with zero scrubbing
KICK off your spring cleaning routine with an area that’s often overlooked, the radiator.
On day 17 of a spring cleaning binge, a cleaning whizz named Danielle detailed exactly how she cleans her radiator, and it takes minimal effort.
With a dish, a bucket, and her favorite cleaner, she got to work.
According to the expert, your radiator should be completely turned off during the cleaning process and fully dried before being turned back on.
Furthermore, this should NOT be attempted on an electric radiator.
In a social media video shared with her 1.3 million TikTok followers, Danielle poured some Brumol cleaner into a bucket full of water.
She then used a jug to scoop some of the soapy water up, and poured it in between the radiator vents.
Like magic, the water and all the gunk flowed out, and the dish she placed directly underneath the radiator caught it all.
After the inside of the radiator was clean, Danielle wiped down the outside with a microfiber cloth and some diluted Zoflora.
The woman noted that this is a once a year cleaning job, and should not be done more often than that.

She explained: “Doing this too much will cause rust overtime!”
In the comments, people had some suggestions of their own.
“Use a hairdryer, less messier and the satisfying part is hoovering it all up,” one person wrote.
“I have a radiator cleaning brush, well worth getting one!” another mentioned.
