Halo Infinite: Season 2 Guide (Dates, Game Modes, & Battle Pass)
Halo Infinite is about to launch Season 2, called Lone Wolves, with a new Battle Pass, maps, and game modes for fans to experience after six months of the first season. Lone Wolves will bring new content to the free-to-play online multiplayer of the game for a season that is set to last just as long as the first one. Additionally, the long-awaited co-op campaign for Halo Infinite is set to release in Season 2 as well, though it won't be ready for some time until after the new season begins.
The Halo Infinite co-op campaign release window, alongside mission replay, was revealed in 343 Industries' road map for the entirety of Season 2. According to the game's developer, the timeline target for the release of Halo Infinite's co-op campaign is late August 2022. A specific date hasn't been confirmed yet, but 343 Industries is expected to continue working on it to meet the late August goal. Additionally, the series' iconic Forge mode, where players are able to design their own custom maps for a variety of fan-developed and classic game modes, is set to have its open beta launch in September 2022.
Halo Infinite Season 2 is launching today, May 3, at 2 p.m. EST, and will last until November 8, 2022. The primary focus for the launch of Season 2 in Halo Infinite is multiplayer content, beginning with two new maps. The first map, Catalyst, will be playable in Arena, while the second one, called Breaker, is a new map for Big Team Battle. Additionally, there are three new game modes that players can participate in called King of the Hill, Land Grab, and Last Spartan Standing.
Halo Infinite Season 2 also includes a new Battle Pass complete with 100 tiers and new rewards for players to earn as they progress from one level to the next in the paid version. Thanks to some of the changes made in Season 1 and how long it previously took to complete the Battle Pass, players should be able to finish Season 2's within a reasonable time by playing regularly. In addition to the new Battle Pass, maps, and modes, there will also be three new events in Halo Infinite: Season 2 Lone Wolves.
- Interference Event: May 3 - May 16
- Alpha Pack Event: July 19 - August 1
- Fracture: Entrenched Event (Week 1): May 24 - May 30
Although the Fracture: Entrenched event's other weeks haven't been listed at this time, players can likely expect a comparable release schedule to that of the Fracture: Tenrai event that took place in Halo Infinite Season 1. Whether or not the other weeks of the new Fracture: Entrenched event will take place alongside the other events is unknown as well. Lastly, according to 343 Industries, quality of life improvements are expected to continue throughout Halo Infinite Season 2 as well.
Halo Infinite is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
