The man accused of attacking Dave Chappelle on stage at a show Tuesday was armed with a replica gun with a knife, the Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to Insider.
The man, who has been identified as 22-year-old Isaiah Lee, rushed on stage at the "Netflix is a Joke" festival at the Hollywood Bowl Tuesday night.
According to a video from the event, he then rammed into the comedian, after which a tussle ensued.
The LAPD told Insider the man was arrested at 10:50 p.m. local time at the Hollywood Bowl and was booked on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
He was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries and has since been released, the LAPD said.
The man's current whereabouts are unknown.
According to BuzzFeed journalist Brianna Sacks, the man was assaulted by at least 10 other people before being loaded into an ambulance for treatment.
Following the assault, Chris Rock, who had performed earlier in the night, joined Chappelle on stage and joked: "Was that Will Smith?" ABC News reporter Stephanie Wash tweeted.
