I’ve been one of the ones giving all the love to James Wade recently but in this rematch of last week’s final I’m backing the Welshman to progress while racking up the most 180s.

Clayton has 30 more in the tournament than Wade, will be throwing first on this occasion and will be looking to avenge last week’s loss, a game which he really threw away.

Clayton to win and most 180s – 7/5

Gerwyn Price v Michael Smith

Nothing seems to be going right in the Premier League for either of these two but Smith at least showed a bit of something with two ton-plus averages last week in Ireland.

Even when Price has been winning games recently, his averages have been poor: He hasn’t had a 100+ average since Week 6, a run of nine matches.

With that in mind, I wouldn’t advise against backing Smith outright but I like Price to go under on his average line of 97.5.

Of course he can clear it but the current stats say it is unlikely.

If two players are on song, then fireworks can occur.

Case in point: Last week saw games with 10 180s, seven 180s (x2) and six 180s.

This pair are more than capable of doing the same, with their last game seeing nine maximums, despite averages of 91 and 97 respectively.

I love the 180s overs in all departments here and would advise 4 or more 180s for each player if you can find a bookie to offer it.
