I’m an organizing pro – how I get rid of unsightly cables using a Dollar Tree buy, so my desk doesn’t look cheap

CLUTTER under your desk can get out of hand fast, especially if an “out of sight, out of mind” attitude lets it go unchecked.

One organizing expert shared her cable-decluttering trick that costs just a dollar and works in seconds.

Sandy Park is a home decluttering expert who shares her organization hacks on her TikTok channel, Tidy With SPARK.

“I put this off for far too long,” Park said in the intro to her office space hack. “Look at this tangled mess.”

She invited viewers to watch her organize the space. Using four Velcro straps and a wire bin from the Dollar Store, Park got to work.

“Start by unplugging the cords, then arrange them in the bin,” she explained.

“I attach the bin to the bottom of my desk using the Velcro straps in each of the four corners.”

Park strapped the wire bin to the bottom of her desk, attaching it to the desk’s legs and center support beam.

“Look at how my desk area looks now,” a cheerful Park said, panning to show off the clear view. “It’s free of cord clutter for about a dollar.”

In the comments section, Park let viewers know where she found the central piece of the build: her wire basket.

“I found mine in the office supply aisle,” Park wrote.

“I was honestly so surprised to see them. It looks to be a tray for incoming mail or an in-box.”

Park’s brilliant trick resonated with viewers, who took to the comments section to thank Park for solving a longtime problem.

“This really makes it so much easier to vacuum and dust,” one fan wrote. “I hate the way I can’t dust with all the cords.”

“You know how many times I kicked a cord and unplugged my computer?” another asked.

“Well…ok, never. It never happened…BUT SOMEDAY IT WILL IF I DON’T DO THIS!” they added.

“That’s a great idea. Stealing that,” a happy viewer wrote.

Park was more than willing to share. “Please do,” she responded.
