But sometimes, less is more – and that’s what one cleaning fan has revealed.

She, instead, recommended a more natural method[/caption]

Mom Kami Larae explained that sometimes, people can get wrapped up and purchase every cleaning product that TikTok users recommend.

“I’ve always been so gullible, believing whatever people are telling me about cleaning products,” she began in her video.

“You need ammonia to clean mirrors, you need a counter spray to disinfect, you need to mop with this soap, or wash your clothes with that soap.

“But as I learned over time, you can’t believe everything you hear on TV or see on TikTok.”

She then explained, that like many others, she had tried various mopping and cleaning hacks, but they just did not work for her.

“I noticed they all left residue on my floors and counters,” she added.

Instead, she opted to make her own products for a cleaner and safer alternative.

“My favorite thing is making my own counter sprays, I’m obsessed. They’re so cheap!

“You just add a couple of drops of your favorite plant-based dish liquid, a tablespoon of rubbing alcohol to disinfect, and a couple of drops of my favorite essential oils,” she revealed.

“It costs pennies to make and it smells and cleans amazing.”

Following her video, many agreed with her and said they had gone through the same.

One person wrote: “Moral of the story, use things for how they are intended to be used!

“I’m not going to be using laundry detergent on my floors.”

A second added: “The softener in the cleaning spray never sat right with me, it smells great but then I cant like knead dough without washing the counter off.”

“If the chemicals were meant to be mixed together, they’d sell it that way,” a third said.
