Warning over chilling ‘copycat’ Buffalo threats on social media that have prompted arrests and terror charge

POLICE have arrested a “copycat” suspect who allegedly threatened local businesses in the Buffalo area, referencing the Tops mass shooting.

On Monday, officials said they arrested a 52-year-old man after he allegedly called up a local pizzeria and brewery making “terrorist” threats.

Investigators said they were made aware of the situation by employees at the pizzeria and brewery.

The man, who police did not name, was arrested and arraigned Sunday evening.

A judge ordered the suspect to be held pending a forensic evaluation.
