CONOR MCGREGOR looks to be in powerful shape as he gears up for his eagerly-anticipated return to the UFC.

The MMA superstar is in the final stages of recovering from the horrific broken leg he suffered in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier last summer.

And the clip got his legion of fans excited for his return[/caption]

McGregor, 33, is already back hitting boxing pads and doing light sparring – although it’s not known if he has resumed kicking.

And the Irishman gave his fans a glimpse of his pad work this past weekend via his Twitter and Instagram pages.

The Notorious shared a video himself drilling a power punch pad with hard jabs and straight lefts.

McGregor took his time and measured each shot, which thundered off the pad.

Mystic Mac later tweeted: “I will sink these bow and arrows into the target. In live fighting.

“For the world to witness. Again. But these arrows are different than before. Corkscrewed. Knuckles.”

The Dubliner’s legion of followers were quick to comment, with one saying: “Coming back with a knockout.”

Another said: “No one can take that left hand.”

One remarked: ” One hitter quitter.”

Another chimed in: “Greatest comeback of all time.”

Former two-division champion McGregor revealed in February that he’s eyeing a summer return to the octagon.

But UFC president Dana White expects the promotion’s poster boy to be back in action in the autumn at the earliest.

He recently told SunSport: The veteran promoter, 52, told SunSport: “We’re looking at early fall, if everything goes right.”

The autumn timeline is contingent on McGregor’s leg being completely healed and doctors giving him the all-clear.

White added: “If his leg heals right and he gets the clearance to really start training, then possibly early fall.”
