[Softball] ERAU Shut Out In NAIA Opening Round
Embry-Riddle ace Vanessa Brink turned in a strong performance in her team's first game of the 2022 NAIA Softball National Championship Opening Round in Ashland, Ore. But Grand View's Hannah Pals was even more impressive as she shut down the Eagles 1-0 behind a near-perfect one-hit stint in the circle. Brink, the California Pacific Conference Pitcher of the Year, surrendered only three hits while walking two and striking out four in her six innings of work for the Eagles, now 40-4. Pals threw just 64 pitches in her seven innings and was just one out away from a perfect game before Danielle Jamieson doubled to right field.
