George McGavin health: BBC presenter's 'verruca' turned out to be deadly skin cancer

PRESENTER and British entomologist Dr George McGavin is a recognisable science presenter and explorer with countless documentary series to his name. In a more recent documentary, McGavin explored something entirely different, but a lot more personal. After being diagnosed with a rare form of skin melanoma, the broadcaster went on a mission to meet some of the most highly regarded scientists in the field of cancer research, all whilst receiving treatment of his own.
