Where the original Embarrassing Bodies doctors are now – from bankruptcy battles to This Morning stardom
HAVE you ever wondered what the Embarrassing Bodies doctors are up to now?
The medical reality television hit our screens in 2007.
The Channel 4 show – which is returning with a new series very soon – saw Brits in need of medical help go to Dr Christian Jessen, Dr Dawn Harper and Dr Pixie McKenna for advice.
Embarrassing Bodies addressed a number of issues including toe fungus, rotting teeth, sweaty feet and anything to do with sexual sexual health.
The programme became a huge fan favourite and managed eight successful series panning over eight years.
The show came to an end in 2015.

Let’s take a look…
Dr Christian Jessen
Christian, 45, was on the show between 2007 and 2015 and worked alongside Pixie and Dawn.
The reality star graduated in medicine at University College London in 2001 and went on to get a MSc in sexual health.
Since Embarrassing Bodies he’s starred in a number of other shows including Doctor Christian Will See You Now and Dr Christian: 12 Hours to Cure your Street .
Over the years he’s also written a number of books and in 2016 published Dr Christian’s Guide to You.
Last year the doctor faced bankruptcy after being ordered to pay Arelene Foster £125,00 in damages.
The TV star appealed to his followers to help him raise money to cover legal costs after he tweeted false allegations that Ms Foster was having an extra-marital affair.
Dr Dawn Harper

Dawn, 59, started off her career in the medical industry after training at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School.
She later started her TV career when she joined the team on Embarrassing Bodies.
Dawn was on the show from the start to the finish and also appeared in a number of the spin-offs.
After the programme ended she carried on sharing her expertise on shows such as This Morning.
She’s also appeared on 10 ‘Clock Live, The Gadget Show and The Wright Stuff.
If TV and medicine isn’t enough, she’s also penned a number of books including her most recent Live Well to 101.
The TV star is also a part-time GP in Stroud, Gloucestershire.
When she’s not busy on our screens or in the practice, Dawn also has a family of three kids to look after.
Dr Pixie McKenna
Pixie, 51, graduated from medical school at University College Cork in 1995.
After qualifying as a general practitioner in 1999, the star moved to London, but later set up a GP practice in Ireland.
The doctor started her TV career when she presented BBC’s Freaky Eaters in 2007, and later bagged a role on Embarrassing Illnesses and Embarrassing Bodies.

She currently owns her own clinic called The London Clinic and she works as a private GP.
