Jackets sign G Joonas Korpisalo to one-year extension

The Blue Jackets signed goaltender Joonas Korpisalo to a one-year contract extension Friday for the 2022-23 season.

Financial terms were not announced.

Korpisalo, 28, was 7-11-0 with a 4.15 goals-against average and .877 save percentage during an injury-plagued 2021-22 season that ended in March with hip surgery.

He has posted a 76-67-21 record with three shutouts, a 3.04 GAA and .902 save percentage in seven seasons w
