Ohsweken Speedway’s Postpones May 20th Opener

OHSWEKEN, ON. – May 20, 2022 – Ohsweken Speedway’s re-opening scheduled for Tonight, has been postponed one week due pre-existing wet conditions and more rains this morning. Crews have been hard at work and will be ready for the Speedway’s rebirth next Friday May 27, 2022, and the practice scheduled for Tuesday May 24, 2022.

“It’s just too wet.for all the haulers but the track prep is coming along and we will be ready for the practice this coming Tuesday,” said speedway owner Glenn Styres. “Our fans and teams will be shocked at all the upgrades when they come back to Ohsweken Speedway next week”

“The Track itself is coming along great, but the pits, infield and surrounding areas are still too damp for traffic,” said Clinton Geoffrey Speedway Manager. “These last few days have helped and we are excited to be welcoming everyone back to Ohsweken Speedway next week.”

All cars competing at Ohsweken in 2022 are welcome to test, including the track’s four weekly divisions, the Kool Kidz-Corr/Pak 360 Sprint Cars, Strickland’s GMC Crate Sprint Cars, Middleport Mechanical Thunder Stocks and HRW Automotive Mini Stocks.

Tuesday May 24th, the pit gate will open at 5:00pm for competitors at a cost of $25 per driver and $10 per crew member. Cars are scheduled to be on track beginning at 6:30pm. Practice will alternate for divisions until 9:00pm.
